Usage Note 13129: Security warning messages when installing SAS on Windows XP SP2 or
Windows 2003 SP1
When you install SAS on a Windows XP where Service Pack 2 has been
applied, the following warning message appears:
The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to
run this software:
Name: setup.exe
Publisher: Unknown publisher
This message appears because the SAS setup.exe does not have a digital
signature.
The Microsoft help associated with this message indicates that these
should not be applied. This message can be ignored.
