Usage Note 13107: Security warning messages when applying hot fixes on Windows XP
SP2
When you apply hot fixes to the SAS System on Windows XP where
Service Pack 2 has been applied, the following warning message appears:
The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to
run this software:
Name: <yourhotfixname.exe>
Publisher: Unknown publisher
This message occurs because the hot fixes do not have digital
signatures.
The Microsoft help associated with this message indicates that these
hot fixes should not be applied. If you are applying from the SAS
hot fix page, this message can be ignored.
