Problem Note 10405: Multi-threaded Scheduler may incorrectly translate logon id characters
when decrypting userid and password values
One task that you must perform when configuring the Multi-threaded
Scheduler for SAS Campaign Management is to run the MTSCSetLogOn.bat
file. This batch file prompts you for the username and password that
MTSC will use to log on to the Campaign Management target database.
This information is encrypted and written to the scheduler.config file.
If certain characters are included in either the username or password
value, the encrypted username and/or password is not written correctly
to the scheduler.config file. Subsequently an exception error occurs
when you attempt to start the Multi-threaded Scheduler.
For example, if your username is INT7 you will receive this error when
you attempt to start MTSC:
"INä7" is not a valid authorization ID.
To confirm that the username has been corrupted, you can run the
MTSCSetLogOn.bat file again, which will display the corrupted username.
Important note: the Multi-threaded Scheduler requires that an
internationalized version of the Java JRE that includes support for
codepage 437 be installed. The "US-ONLY" JRE for Windows does not have
this support and therefore cannot be used. The internationalized
version of the JRE contains the i18n.jar file in the <Java_Root>\jre\lib
folder.
