Problem Note 2817: The _findString method for SCL List Class may cause program halt if you
specify 5 arguments
If you use the _findString method for the SCL List Class in SAS/AF
Software and you specify five (5) arguments for the method as it is
documented, you may experience a program halt with the following error
message:
ERROR: Too many parameters passed to method _findString which
allows at most 3 arguments.
If you then try using just the first 3 arguments as the above error
message suggests, you will receive the following error message,
ERROR: Cannot match signature '(CNN)' on invocation of method
_findString. There may be no matching signature or all
correct matches may be inaccessible.
The _findString method is intended to support 5 arguments as it is
documented.
To circumvent this problem, you can instead use the SEARCHC function in
SAS Component Language to find a string within your SCL list structure.
