Problem Note 2635: Action field within an Extended Table displays with an X initially
A one-byte action field within an extended table portion of a SAS/AF
PROGRAM entry displays with an X as its initial value instead of just
displaying an underscore for a blank field.
To circumvent the problem, specify the type for the field as CHAR
instead of ACTION. Within SAS Component Language code, you can check if
the field is not equal to _BLANK_ to know that it has a value.
