Problem Note 2420: Version Labels are restricted to 32 characters in SCM
Version labels over 32 characters may be truncated in the Copy Version
Label window of Software Configuration Management (SCM) in SAS/AF
Software. However, the Create Version Label dialog allows version
labels to be longer than 40 characters, so they are truncated when
copied which may create duplicate version labels.
To circumvent the problem, limit your version labels to 32 characters in
length. If you have already created version labels longer than 32
characters, contact SAS Technical Support for a possible circumvention.
