Problem Note 2366: PROC REPORT may apply user defined format incorrectly
In some cases, PROC REPORT may not apply a user defined format
correctly.
The most common problem is that GROUP or ORDER variables with a
user defined format may be incorrectly grouped into one grouping
under the first format label.
Alternatively, truncation may occur in some ACROSS variable column
headers that are created by a user defined format.
The only workaround is to use the PUT function to create a variable
in a DATA step that is equal to the desired format. In the PROC
REPORT, use this new variable instead of the original variable
with the user defined format.
