For example, if you query a DBMS table with the following columns
and allow SAS to determine the names, the names generated will be as
follows:

The variables marked with an asterisk ("*") are named differently.
Integrity problems arise if you try to use a variable based on
the old name instead of the new name.  For example, if you do some
calculation on AVERYLO2, Version 6 performs the calculation on the
DB2 column AVERYLONG2.  Version 7 performs the calculation on
the DB2 column AVERYLONG4.

Another example involves if you have a join where the same column exists
in 2 or more tables and you have asked for both in the result without
renaming them to different names.
