Problem Note 818: SQXJM: PROBLEM WITH SQXBR1() error message in PROC SQL
In Version 7 and Version 8 of the SAS System, you will receive the
following error message when processing a SAS data set containing a
variable with a extremely large length in PROC SQL:
sqxjm: problem with sqxbr1().
ERROR: A bug in SAS has been encountered. Please call your SAS
representative and report the following message:
SQL detected an internal inconsistency.
The problem was encountered while processing a SAS data set containing a
variable whose length was set to 32,767. Currently, the only
circumvention is to create a temporary copy of the data set in which the
length of the variable is smaller than 32,767. The maximum length the
variable can be set to without generating the above error will vary.
The problem has been corrected in Version 8.00 1M0.
