Statement of Support for Windows for 64-bit Itanium-based and OpenVMS for HP Integrity Operating Systems
April 2010 Due to changing market conditions, SAS 9.3 will not support Windows for 64-bit Itanium-based (W64) and OpenVMS for HP Integrity (IVMS, VMI) operating systems. SAS can assist customers with migrating to other operating systems. Note: SAS 9.2 will continue to support these operating systems.
Modified Technical Support
Upon release of SAS 9.4, Technical Support will be provided at Level B and will follow the schedule as outlined in the Technical Support Policies.
Migration
SAS continually monitors the worldwide market for operating system viability to ensure that our products are available across the most commonly accepted operating systems. Accordingly, SAS software is offered on many other operating system platforms and existing customer can migrate their SAS license to a different operating system at any time. To assist our customers with migration to another platform, we offer the following:
- A 'mirror' copy of your existing SAS software on the SASŪ9 platform of your choice for 120 days.
- Migration to an operating system of your choice at renewal fees only (no first year fees will be charged).
If you want to migrate from a Windows for 64-bit Itanium-based (W64) or OpenVMS for HP Integrity (IVMS, VMI) operating system to another operating system that is supported by SAS, contact your SAS account representative to initiate the process.
