Usage Note 29176: Using the SAS Technical Support blind FTP site
You can access the SAS Technical Support blind FTP area to retrieve files that are sensitive in nature or not available for public use. In general, a SAS Technical Support representative would direct you to this area to retrieve a specific file. The subdirectory appears empty because the files are hidden from view, which is why it is called a blind area.
Use your Web browser to access the blind download area by typing the URL ftp://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/blind/ in the Location: or Address: field at the top of your browser. This will take you directly to a blank page in the blind FTP area.
You can then type the name of the file you want to download onto the end of the preceding URL address. For example, if you want to download filename.zip from the blind FTP site, type the following in the URL Address: or Location: line of your browser:
http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/blind/filename.zip.
Then press ENTER, and a dialogue box is displayed from which you can save the file, if it is found.
