How do I shut down the SAS University Edition vApp?

Note Do not shut down the vApp or close your virtual machine until you are finished using SAS University Edition. SAS University Edition cannot run if the virtual machine is not running.

In VirtualBox, you can shut down the SAS University Edition vApp in either of these ways:
  • Select the SAS University Edition vApp, and then select Machine > Close > ACPI Shutdown.
  • Click X icon. In the Close Virtual Machine dialog box, select Save the machine state or Send the shutdown signal.

    Note Do not select Power off this machine, which is the equivalent to unplugging your machine and could cause issues.

In VMware Workstation Player, select Player > Power > Shut Down Guest.

In VirtualBox, you can shut down the SAS University Edition vApp in either of these ways:
  • Select the SAS University Edition vApp, and then select Machine > Close > ACPI Shutdown.
  • Click X icon. In the Close Virtual Machine dialog box, select Save the machine state or Send the shutdown signal.

    Note Do not select Power off this machine, which is the equivalent to unplugging your machine and could cause issues.

In VMware Fusion, select Virtual Machine > Shut Down.
In VirtualBox, you can shut down the SAS University Edition vApp in either of these ways:
  • Select the SAS University Edition vApp, and then select Machine > Close > ACPI Shutdown.

In VMware Player, select Player > Power > Shut Down Guest.
