How do I use my existing SAS data, raw data, or Microsoft Excel data in SAS Studio?

Using SAS Studio, you can access various types of data, such as existing SAS data sets, Microsoft Excel worksheets, and raw data files. If you are accessing SAS University Edition from VirtualBox, VMware Workstation Player, or VMware Fusion, you can access your SAS data by creating folder shortcuts. You can also import data into SAS Studio.

Using SAS Studio, you can access various types of data, such as existing SAS data sets, Microsoft Excel worksheets, and raw data files. If you are running an instance of SAS University Edition on the AWS Marketplace, you must use SAS Studio to upload the data from your local computer.

  1. In SAS Studio, open the Folders section in the navigation pane.

  2. From My Folders, select the folder where you want to upload the files.

  3. From the toolbar, click . The Upload Files window opens. My Folders in SAS Studio

  4. In the Upload Files window, specify the location where you want to upload the files.

  5. Click Choose Files to select the files that you want to access in SAS Studio.

  6. In the Upload Files window, click Upload.

The files now appear under My Folders in SAS Studio.
