SAS Studio: Help Center

How does SAS Studio work with SAS Grid Computing?

SAS Studio starts a SAS session on the SAS Grid nodes when it is opened in a browser. If there are no SAS jobs being submitted, then that SAS session is idle. Idle sessions do not consume CPU or memory, although they can use disk space. SAS Grid Computing resources are invoked when SAS jobs are executed.

For more information about running SAS Studio on the grid, see these resources:

Note In order to run code from any edition of SAS Studio on the grid, you must license SAS Grid Manager and install the grid middleware client software on the same machine as the SAS Studio workspace server.
