Reference Architectures for Edge-to-Enterprise IoT Using SAS®

This set of use cases shows you how to capture, analyze and respond to data in motion from items such as physical devices, vehicles, sensors and actuators. You can mine and analyze this data using edge devices, data centers and the cloud. You can transform and analyze it as it flows through its connected ecosystem, and you can also collect it at data centers on-premises and run big data analytics on data at rest. Central to these reference architectures is SAS® Event Stream Processing, which enables programmers to build applications that can quickly process and analyze large numbers of continuously flowing events.

The most recent release is Reference Architectures for Edge-to-Enterprise IoT Using SAS 5.1.

What’s New

The Grid Stability Reference Architecture is now available for download. It explores how to analyze power transmission on a grid that is monitored with Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs). Operators and engineers can use this reference architecture to do the following:

  • Understand the steady state operation of the grid using streaming analytics.
  • Detect events of interest on the network in real time.
  • Categorize events by type, count, intensity, time, location and equipment type.
  • Respond appropriately to detected events.
  • Capture data for post-event analysis.
