Copying a Control

If you need to insert two or more of the same type of control into a page and if many of the property settings are the same for these multiple controls, then you can copy a control instead of creating one from scratch. Most HTML editors will allow you to copy and paste a control into another spot on your page. Certain editors will also allow you to copy and paste across Web pages.

When you copy a control, the copy is of the same type as the original and contains all of the property settings of the original. If the properties for the new control need to be different from the original, then make those changes in the Properties dialog; be sure to change the properties that must be unique for each control.
