Upgrading to Enterprise Miner 6.1

If you are upgrading to Enterprise Miner 6.1 from Enterprise Miner 5.3 or Enterprise Miner 5.2, see SAS Enterprise Miner: Migration Guide.

If you are upgrading to Enterprise Miner 6.1 from Enterprise Miner 5.1, you must first upgrade to Enterprise Miner 5.2 or Enterprise Miner 5.3.

Upgrading to Enterprise Miner 5.3

If you are upgrading to Enterprise Miner 5.3 from Enterprise Miner 5.1, use the instructions in SAS Note 33517 (for a two-tier environment) and then see the post-installation guide for Enterprise Miner 5.3.

SAS Enterprise Miner for SAS 9.1.3 is delivered with a server component and two client systems, Enterprise Miner 4.3 and Enteprise Miner 5.3. Customers may elect to run both or either one of these client components to interface with the Enterprise Miner server component. If you want to convert any of your Enteprise Miner 4.x projects to Enterprise Miner 5.3, then see Converting SAS Enterprise Miner 4.x Projects to SAS Enterprise Miner 5.3 Projects.

Upgrading to Enterprise Miner 5.2

If you are upgrading to Enterprise Miner 5.2 from Enterprise Miner 5.1, use the instructions in SAS Note 16082 (one machine) or SAS Note 16200 (for a two-tier environment).

There is no process for converting SAS Enterprise Miner 4.x or 3.x projects to SAS Enterprise Miner 5.2.

Upgrading to Enterprise Miner 4.3

SAS Enterprise Miner 4.3 can convert an existing Enterprise Miner 4.0 project. Just open Enterprise Miner 4.3 and select your Enterprise Miner 4.0 project with File > Open. Enterprise Miner 4.3 prompts you to choose whether to convert your project. See Getting Started with Enterprise Miner 4.3 in the SAS online documentation.
