Where do I start?

The following documents guide you through the design, execution, and validation of your migration. Choose one of these two migration tracks depending on whether your SAS deployment is based on metadata:

  • SAS Business Intelligence, Data Integration, or Solutions that are metadata-based: start planning your upgrade with the SAS Intelligence Platform: 9.1.3 to 9.2 Migration Guide. This book features the new migration tool for Business Intelligence, the SAS Migration Utility. The information is specific to a metadata-based migration, and refers to additional documentation, such as this Web site, where appropriate.

  • SAS products like Base SAS that do not rely on metadata: use the Migration Planning Worksheet.
