Skinning the Cat This Way and That: Using ODS to Create Word Documents That Work for You

The Output Delivery System (ODS) can send SAS output directly to an RTF file that Microsoft Word can read. However, in some cases the formatting might fall short of your desired results.

The authors of a SUGI 29 paper needed such a customized RTF file. In the course of finding a solution, they discovered a number of useful ODS tricks that are shared here.

Your Turn

The developers, testers and documentation folk that bring you ODS are very excited about the potential these capabilities bring to the SAS System. You can send electronic mail to ods@sas.com with your comments.
