Graphical Features of Gantt Charts

Chart Display Capabilities

Plot activity target dates, project deadlines, and other important dates.
Customize titles, footnotes, notes, and column labels.
Display legend identifying symbols and patterns below the chart.
Display summary of symbols and patterns on separate page.
Indicate critical and supercritical activities.
Display calendars, holidays, and workshift data.
Draw vertical reference lines and horizontal connect lines.
Annotate text, cost curves, resource usage histograms, etc.
Simultaneously plot any combination of the following schedules: early, late, actual, resource constrained, and baseline.
Rearrange display order of schedule types.
Embed schedule bars.
Indicate split activities due to resource constrained scheduling.
Add multiple user definable fields of any type with optional formats such as WBS codes, resources required, contact person, costs, durations, schedule dates, etc.

Attribute Controls

Customize appearance from a wide variety of colors, fonts, symbol markers, patterns, and line types.
Control pattern of selected bars at the activity level, for example, highlight summary bars in a multiproject Gantt chart.
Control color of selected columns of activity text at the activity level, for example, print all critical activity text in red.
Specify bar heights and bar offsets for each schedule type.
Specify text heights and text offsets.

Page Controls

Display charts across many pages or compress onto one page.
Specify number of horizontal and vertical pages.
Repeat identification information across pages or have it for the first page only.
Number pages left to right, or top to bottom.

Axis Format Controls

Provide control over axes, column labels, tickmark spacing, chart scaling, etc.
Provide range (from seconds to years) of smallest interval to be represented on the chart.
Override default date formats for tickmark labels along time axis.
Specify number of activities per page and number of tickmarks per page.
Specify starting and ending dates/times for time axis.
Number activities along activity axis.
