Release Information
Status
The production release of the Analyst Application is included in Version 8 and available to any site that has licensed the required products. The Version 8 release is available for Windows 95, Windows NT, UNIX workstations, OS/2, OpenVMS Alpha, and VMS VAX.
A production version for Release 6.12 is available for Windows 95, Windows NT, and Windows 3.1, and a beta version is available for UNIX workstations. See the download site.
Documentation
The Analyst Application, Second Edition (Version 9) is available from Publications. Preliminary documentation is available for Release 6.12.
Requirements
Version 8

Version 8 SAS running on Windows 95, Windows NT, UNIX workstations, OS/2, OpenVMS Alpha, or VMS VAX must be installed.

base SAS software, SAS/STAT, and SAS/GRAPH must be installed.

SAS/ASSIST must be licensed.

SAS/ACCESS must be installed in order to import non-SAS PC file formats.

SAS/IML must be installed in order to produce confidence ellipses in the Correlations task and partial regression plots in the Regression task; the selections are grayed out if SAS/IML is not available.
Release 6.12

6.12 SAS running on Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or Windows NT must be installed. A beta release is available for UNIX workstations.

base SAS software, SAS/STAT, and SAS/GRAPH must be installed.

SAS/FSP must be licensed in order to edit data.

SAS/ACCESS must be installed in order to import data files.

SAS/QC and SAS/IML must be installed in order to access all the capabilities of the Analyst Application; the appropriate selections are grayed out if the required product is not available.
