Simple Regression

You use the Simple Linear Regression task when you have a single dependent variable and a single independent quantitative variable. The task produces the linear least squares fit to the data. In addition to the standard results, you can request a power analysis, additional statistics, and plots.

Linear Regression

You use the Linear Regression task to perform linear regression for multiple dependent and independent quantitative variables. In addition to the standard results, you can perform a power analysis or weighted least squares analysis and request additional statistics and tests. You can specify plots for predictions, residuals, and influence statistics. You can choose from nine model selection methods, and you can also request predictions, save results, and specify By group or frequency variables.

Logistic Regression

Logistic regression analysis is often used to investigate the relationship between binary or ordinal response variables and a set of explanatory variables. In the logistic regression task, you can specify a model with both quantitative and classification variables, choose from a range of model selection methods, and produce additional results by requesting statistics or plots. You can also request predictions, save results, and specify By group, weight, and frequency variables.
