Companies are seeking to improve their demand forecasting capabilities and reevaluate existing demand planning and forecasting processes. As a result, demand forecasting has become the most critical function influencing companies worldwide across all industries-including heavy manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, retail, pharmaceutical, automotive, electronics, telecommunications, financial, and others. Most companies can no longer simply wait for demand and then react to it by providing the right product in the right place at the right time. Instead, companies must sense demand signals, shape demand, and predict demand in anticipation of future customer behavior so that they can react immediately to customer orders. Charles Chase's Demand-Driven Forecasting: A Structured Approach to Forecasting provides readers with a structured approach to demand forecasting.

Demand-Driven Forecasting is a practitioner-based book that provides readers with proven processes, methodologies, and performance metrics that can be applied immediately, resulting in significant improvement in forecast accuracy. Chase provides numerous real-life examples and case studies to illustrate both best-in-class approaches as well as initial start-up approaches.
