Teaching Materials from SAS
Teaching Materials from SAS include course notes, slides, and data sets from many of SAS' public training courses. Instructors can use this material in its entirety or incorporate select sections into their already existing instructional materials as they see fit. These kits are free of charge for university instructors.

Certificate Programs
SAS will work closely with your institution to develop certificate programs in a variety of areas of SAS expertise. Designed to recognize students with advanced SAS knowledge, the program can use pre-existing courses or ones newly developed in consultation with SAS. While your university will administer the program, the certificate will be co-sponsored by SAS, assuming a set of minimum requirements for semester or course credit hours and topics covered are met. Certificates are awarded after the successful completion of the course requirements.

Programs exist for data mining, statistical methods, data analysis, and programming. Certificate programs in other areas of SAS expertise are posssible if interest warrants.

Some of the universities with SAS-sponsored certificate programs:
University of Central Florida
University of Alabama
Oklahoma State University
New York University
University of Alaska-Anchorage
Central Michigan University
University of Louisville
College of Charleston (.pdf)
Kennesaw State University

Software

SAS OnDemand for Academics
SAS OnDemand for Academics provides professors and their students the analytic and reporting power of SAS over the Internet. Processing takes place on SAS hosted servers; therefore, there are no expensive hardware requirements, software administration, or disks to install. A broadband connection is required, but the program is cross- platform. Access by non-US schools is planned for the near future.

SAS Data Mining for the Classroom
To make data and text mining software more readily available to professors and teachers for use in the classroom, SAS offers a stand-alone bundle that includes SAS Enterprise Miner for data mining and SAS Text Miner for text mining, all on one DVD. Non-US schools may have access to this bundle in the future.

Point-and-Click – SAS Enterprise Guide
Enterprise Guide is an easy-to-use, point-and-click interface to the power of SAS. Enterprise Guide is included in most academic bundles purchased by universities and runs on the Windows operating environment. See a demonstration of SAS Enterprise Guide.

Point-and-Click – JMP for Statistical Discovery JMP Software
The visual, interactive, and easy-to-learn desktop analytics of JMP Statistical Discovery Software lets students master statistical concepts quickly. JMP's unique navigation paradigm drives students through statistics using point, click, drag, and drop, and then displays results as statistics and graphs in the same window. Students can easily subset, perform subsequent analyses, and create 3D and moving graphics to help understand the results of their analyses. JMP runs on Windows and MacIntosh platforms.
