SAS Programming 1 for High School - summer training program for teachers
The SAS Programming 1 for High School course teaches students how to prepare data for analysis and write SAS programs to solve problems. During this 5-day training course, teachers will learn
SAS programing as well as how to teach this exciting course.
Program eligibility
- Must be able to attend all 5 days of the SAS Programming 1 for High School training course for teachers which will be held at SAS World Headquarters, Cary, NC, June 24-28, 2013
- Must be a current high school teacher with plans to teach this course within the following school year
- Must meet the requirements as indicated below
Training information
The following is included in the training program (approx. value over $3500):
- Instructional Strategies and Training: learn the basics of SAS programming, how to access help and documentation, how SAS programming is similar to other languages you may already know, learn best practices and discover how this training connects to students' academic and career goals.
- Software: License for Base SAS, SAS/GRAPH, and SAS/Access to PC Files for 30 computers for no charge.
- Meals: SAS will provide breakfast and lunch every day and dinner for one night.
- A certificate documenting completion of the SAS Programming for High School Course. (May be used to gain Continuing Education Credits (CEUs), depending upon district guidelines.)
- Networking time to make new acquaintances and connect with leading educators from across the US.
- You and your students will also be eligible for academic discounts on the SAS Base Certification Exam (certification opportunities are completely optional).
Participants are responsible for
- accommodations during the training
- travel arrangements to and from the training
