Problem Note 9392: Enterprise Guide may crash or generate errors when using Excel files
You may be unable to import, save, or run tasks using certain Excel
files in Enterprise Guide. The following errors, or others, may occur
when attempting either process:
Seguide.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.
or
An application error has occurred.
And an application error log is being generated.
seguide.exe.
Exception hardcoded breakpoint (0x80000003), address 0x771762e8.
These errors can occur for different reasons, but a likely reason is
because the Excel file has just one sheet.
To circumvent the problem, try one of these alternate methods for
inserting Excel files into Enterprise Guide:
1. Tools => Import Data => select the Server icon, then Files, then
select the specific Excel file
2. Drag and Drop the Excel file from Windows Explorer onto the Project
3. Insert => Data
4. Create a new Excel work book that contains multiple sheets by
copying the old Excel file into the new Excel file which contains
three sheets by default.
