Problem Note 8946: Enterprise Guide Query Builder may add extra parentheses that causes
problems
The Query Builder in Enterprise Guide may add an extra pair of
parentheses when doing certain table joins. This will most likely occur
when joining three or more tables for a simple inner join. The extra
pair of parentheses may cause certain queries not to be passed through
to the RDBMS, such as with Oracle, forcing the query to be executed in
SAS instead of in the RDBMS and causing a performance problem.
