Problem Note 8749: Errors may occur when adding new users or groups using Enterprise Guide
The following error may occur when adding a new user or group in the
Administrator of Enterprise Guide:
Error: Item is default for at least one group and cannot be deleted.
This problem occurs when the local server definition has been removed.
To circumvent the problem, perform the following steps:
1. Add a Server named Local
2. Create a Binder named Sample (exact case),
Use No Folder for configuration.
Take the defaults for all other selections.
3. Create a Group named General (exact case).
Take defaults for all pages.
No users, etc. need to be placed in the group.
Once the above steps are taken, users and groups may be defined
successfully.
