Problem Note 8740: Certain special conditions may cause the SAS/IntrNet® Application Server
to "hang"
There a specific set of circumstances that will cause the SAS/IntrNet
Application Server to "hang" or go into an LW wait state.
The hung server or LW Wait State will be created when:
- The SAS/IntrNet Application Server and the SAS/Share Server
both use TCP/IP and XMS as the communications access methods,
in that order.
- The Application Server has PROGLIB and DATALIB allocations
to the SAS/Share Server.
- The Share Server disconnects and there is no further activity
on the Application Server.
This usually happens at night when there are no requests coming in to the
Application Server.
