Problem Note 8149: 6.09 SAS/CONNECT CMS server hangs when 8.2 SAS/CONNECT OS/390 client
attempts signon through APPC Communication Access Method
When an 8.2 SAS/CONNECT OS/390 client attempts to signon to a 6.09
SAS/CONNECT CMS server using APPC as the Communication Access Method,
the CMS session will hang. This requires that the CMS userid used to
signon must be cancelled. The messages you can expect to see in the
client SAS Log are:
NOTE: Remote signon to xxxxxxx commencing(SAS Release
8.02.02M0P012301).
ERROR: There is not a default input data set (_LAST_ is _NULL_).
ERROR: Upload function terminated.
ERROR: A communication subsystem message presentation interface
failure has occurred.
ERROR: Communication partner has terminated the conversation.
ERROR: Remote signon to xxxxxxx cancelled.
8.2 SAS/CONNECT OS/390 client to 8.2 SAS/CONNECT CMS server works.
