Problem Note 7808: X LOCALE warnings may be generated when running SAS with DBCS support
X LOCALE warnings may be generated when running the DBCS supported
version of Release 8.2 on Solaris. When running DMS under X-Windows,
the following messages are generated:
Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C
Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default
Warning:
Name: FONTLIST_DEFAULT_TAG_STRING
Class: XmRendition
Conversion failed. Cannot load font.
SAS 8.2 DBCS, Japanese and other Asian Language supports, cannot use the
system default locale database.
A Technical Support hot fix for Release 8.2 TSLEVEL TS2M0 (with
Asian Language Support) for this issue is available at:

In addition to applying the hot fix, the environment variable
XLOCALEDIR
must be set to point to the localeDB included in the hot fix package.
