Problem Note 7801: Numeric summary variables at the reduction levels do not have their
lengths verified and instead default to eight bytes
In IT Resource Management, it is possible that some of the numeric
summary variables at the reduction level use eight bytes instead of
four.
At the reduction levels, temporary variables are used to compute
statistics and then renamed back to their proper statistical names in
the DATA step that they are created. Therefore, these variables only
have the default of eight bytes associated with them because they are
not explicitly set to a smaller size beforehand, such as with an ATTRIB
statement. For this reason, they can not inherit the original variable
name settings, which are smaller.
This will be fixed in a future release of IT Service Vision.
