Usage Note 7404: SAS Ignores TCPIP_DATA SAS/C environment variable when using Connect
Spawner CLIST
SAS will normally read and set all SAS/C environment variables that are
in SASCTCPV when run in batch or using the TSO CLIST.
However, there is one instance when inheritance is used (via the
INHERIT(1) proc variable) where all SAS/C variables are set with the
exception of TCPIP_DATA. The CLIST containing INHERIT is used by the
connect spawner to launch SAS with the DMR option.
This is evident from the cnftrace.
Also of note is that this problem does not exist when using the 7.00B
SAS/C transient library. It occurs with 7.00C.
