Problem Note 7030: TRANWRD performance problems on DBCS systems
In Version 8 of the SAS System with DBCS support installed, the
TRANWRD function may exhibit a 400-500% performance degradation
compared to Version 6.
This problem is corrected beginning in SAS 9.
