Problem Note 61478: You cannot log on to SAS® Analytical Data Set Builder after updating from SAS® Credit Scoring 6.1 to 6.2

When you try to open SAS Analytical Data Set Builder with a web browser, the following symptoms might occur:
- No logon screen is displayed.
- The application stops responding.
- This message is displayed in the associated web application log file.
PSQLException: FATAL: password authentication failed for user "apdm_user"
The problem occurs after you upgrade SAS Credit Scoring 6.1 to SAS Credit Scoring 6.2 using In-Place Upgrade instructions. During the upgrade process, the SAS upgrade wizard prompts for existing-connection information to Postgres (APDM library) that is used by SAS Credit Scoring. If you provided new credentials instead of current credentials, then the problem can occur.
To work around the problem, update the APDM user-credentials in the data sources for SAS Analytical Data Set Builder mid-tier web application. Follow these steps:
- Stop the web application server.
- Using Postgres commands/utilities, update the password for the APDM user ID.
- Log on to SAS® Deployment Manager and select Update Password.
- Select the SAS Credit Scoring APDM user ID from the list.
- Continue with the prompts and provide the credentials for the APDM user ID.
- After successful completion, exit SAS Deployment Manager.
- Start the web application server.
