Problem Note 6576: FTP filename engine fails from Win2000 and WinXP to MVS FTP host
An FTP communication problem exists between SAS running under
Windows 2000 and XP and any FTP server.
The symptom of this problem is that the DATA step that is using the FTP
engine runs infinitely or appears to hang. It does not generate errors.
The user can use Ctrl+Break to halt the DATA step and abort the
submitted code.
The problem is being caused by a defect in Microsoft Windows
regarding non-blocked FTP connections. Microsoft article Q297110
discusses this bug.
