Usage Note 6327: SQL Pass-Through to Sybase EXECUTE statement allows only one statement
When you use multiple statements within an EXECUTE statement with
SAS/Access Interface to Sybase's SQL Pass-Through facility, they may
be ignored or you may get an error message.
The workaround for this is to put the multiple statements in a stored
procedure and then put the stored procedure name in the EXECUTE
statement.
Multiple statements worked in the EXECUTE statement in SAS 6.12.
