Usage Note 58396: Specify the MPRINT option in SAS® Enterprise Miner(tm) Project Start Code to display additional diagnostic information in node logs
By default, in order to save space, SAS Enterprise Miner node logs are created using the NOMPRINT system option. Often, the displayed information is sufficient. However, there are times when having additional information is helpful.
You can enable additional information by specifying the MPRINT option in the SAS Enterprise Miner Project Start Code. To open the Project Start Code, click the project name in the project panel (the upper left corner of the user interface). In the properties panel (middle left), click the Project Start Code ... property.
In the Project Start Code window, enter this code:
options mprint;
Click Run Now. OK.
- New nodes - with the MPRINT option enabled, add a new node to the diagram. Run the new node. View the results. MPRINT statements are displayed in the log.
- Existing nodes - with the MPRINT option enabled, existing nodes do not display MPRINT statements until the node re-executes. To re-execute, click the first node in the flow. Change the Rerun property from No to Yes. Right-click the first node, and select Run. After the node completes, you can change the Rerun property back to No if desired. Run your flow. The nodes re-execute. MPRINT statements are displayed in each node log.
You can use the Project Start Code to change MPRINT back to NOMPRINT if you so desire.
