The following error message is generated when you create a user-defined function using PROC FCMP and you specify the NODSNFERR option prior to PROC FCMP when running in batch mode:

ERROR: Cannot open data set XXX.YYY for write access because it is currently
       opened or already exists as a standard data set.

XXX.YYY refers to the name of the first two levels in the value for the OUTLIB= option with PROC FCMP.

The user-defined function is not saved when this problem occurs.

To circumvent the problem, specify the DSNFERR option prior to PROC FCMP.
