Problem Note 56959: The error "403 Forbidden" occurs when you log on to SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio
When you log on to SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio, you receive the error 403 Forbidden if your system uses Security Assertion Markup Language 2.0 (SAML 2.0) authentication.
To avoid this error and enable SAML 2.0. you need to remove certain filters from the SAS Customer Intelligence Studio web application's web.xml.orig file, as follows. You perform these steps on your middle-tier server(s).
- Navigate to SASHOME/SASCustomerIntelligenceStudio/6.4/Configurable/wars/sas.ci.shell/WEB-INF.
- Open the web.xml.orig file with a text editor.
- Remove the following <filter> and <filter-mapping> elements:

- Save the file.
- Use the SAS® Deployment Manager to rebuild and re-deploy the SAS Customer Intelligence Studio web application on your middle-tier server(s).
