Problem Note 55157: Adding a variable to a tracked link in SAS® Digital Marketing Studio generates an incorrect error message
In SAS Digital Marketing Studio, you can add a tracked link on the Edit Content page by selecting Edit ► Insert ► Tracked link. You can choose to include a variable as part of the URL for the tracked link. For example, the following URL includes a variable named COUNTRYCODE:
http://www.sas.com/{{COUNTRYCODE}}
When you include a variable as part of the URL, you receive the following error message:
The link could not be validated.
Illegal characters in path at index 19:http://www.sas.com/{{COUNTRYCODE}}
Do you wish to proceed?
This error message is incorrect. Although the link cannot be validated at this time, the characters are not invalid. Therefore, you should choose to proceed.
