Problem Note 55775: DS2 History processing causes uncontrolled growth in memory usage in SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager
SAS Real-Time Decision Manager 6.3 introduced a DS2 method for writing history records to the SAS® Customer Intelligence Common Data Model. The DS2 method reduces the potential for record loss. This method also often results in a performance gain for writing history records. However, the DS2 code for writing history records might cause uncontrolled memory growth when SQL errors or database connection errors occur.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fixes for this issue. Be aware that hot fixes for all three of the following components must be installed in order to fix this issue:
- SAS® Customer Intelligence (labeled as SAS® Marketing Automation)
- SAS® Decision Services
- SAS® Federation Server
Although you can apply each of these hot fixes individually to correct some issues, all of them must be applied in order to prevent uncontrolled memory growth. Please ensure that you download the fixes for the versions of the software that are installed at your site. You can check the versions that you have installed using the SAS Note 35968: "Using the ViewRegistry Report and other methods to determine the SAS® 9.2 and later software releases and hot fixes that are installed."
