Problem Note 54730: The Test SAS Connection fails in SAS® Digital Marketing Studio if the logical server is not named SASApp
In SAS® Digital Marketing Studio, testing the SAS connection (by selecting Tools ► Server Configuration ► SAS Options ► Test SAS Connection) fails if the logical server is not named SASApp.
When the failure occurs, you might see the following error:
Logical server not found: SASApp -Logical Workspace Server ..from details
ava.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server thread; nested
exception is:
java.rmi.RemoteException: Logical server not found: SASApp - Logical
Workspace Server
at sun.rmi.server.UnicastServerRef.dispatch(UnicastServerRef.java:353)
The problem occurs because the logical-server name SASApp is hardcoded in SAS Digital Marketing Studio for the Test SAS Connection test. So if you use a different name, the failure occurs. It is only this test that fails.
There is no workaround or solution for this problem. To avoid the problem, be sure to use the name SASApp.
