Problem Note 53118: Successfully scheduled broadcasts do not deliver any e-mails
Scheduled broadcasts in SAS® Digital Marketing 5.41 do not deliver any e-mails. In the log, it seems that the broadcasts execute. However, a green check mark with the caution symbol in shown in the client. Broadcasts that are scheduled to run immediately, successfully deliver their e-mails.
After the scheduled broadcast seems to complete, the broadcasts properties contain no history (for example, an indication that the broadcast has not been sent.)
Manually running the ebtool command that is used by the scheduler from a command line returns the following:
NOTE: SuppressNullPasswordAuthentication = false
ERROR: Unable to open connection to provider (uri: jdbc:mysql://server.domain.com:port/db,
driver: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver, userid: xxxxx).
This issue occurs when "-Dsas.app.class.dirs=[SASHOME]/SASDigitalMarketingServerComponents/5.41/lib" has not been added to the ebtools.ini file.
This option tells the ebtool command where the JDBC drivers that are needed to connect to the database are stored. See the "Installing and using JDBC drivers" section of the SAS® Customer Intelligence 5.41 Deployment Guide for more information.
