Problem Note 5975: ERROR: Macro variable name & must start with a letter or underscore
If the %SYMDEL function is used within a macro and the argument is a
macro variable, the following error message will be issued:
ERROR: Macro variable name & must start with a letter or underscore.
There is currently no circumvention to this problem. The %SYMDEL
function must be moved outside the macro or the hotfix must be applied.
A Technical Support hot fix for Release 8.2 TSLEVEL TS2M0 for this
