Usage Note 5796: Update access to SASHELP library needed to renew SETINIT
If an attempt is made to renew a SETINIT/SID, the USERID associated with
the job must have read/write or update access to the SASHELP library.
If this is not the case, then the following messages are issued. These
messages are issued to the SAS Log, and the job will abend with a
USER=0999, but there will not be any mention of a security violation in
the JES log from a security package (ie. RACF, ACF2 etc.).
Version 6:
ERROR: THE SITE VALIDATION DATA CANNOT BE UPDATED. THIS IS MOST LIKELY
DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SASHELP CATALOG IS NOT AVAILABLE WRITE
MODE, AND/OR THAT THE SETINIT OPTION HAS NOT BEEN SPECIFIED WHEN
USING THE SAS COMMAND
To correct the problem, be sure that the proper permissions are allowed
for the SASHELP library.
