Problem Note 5780: The DDFM=SATTERTHWAITE option can cause incorrect results when used in
the presence of both a RANDOM and a REPEATED statement
The DDFM=SATTERTHWAITE option may return incorrect results if you have
both a RANDOM and a REPEATED statement in your PROC MIXED step, and the
number of levels of the repeated effect is larger than the sum of the
number of columns in the X and Z design matrices. PROC MIXED may also
issue a read-access violation or shut down your SAS session in this
situation.
The only results that may be inaccurate are the Satterthwaite degrees
of freedom. All other results are correct.
There is no circumvention for this problem.
