Problem Note 5210: LINE statement may display incorrect data with COMPUTE BEFORE and the
FLOW option
If the last row of a grouping (created by use of GROUP or ORDER) will
not fit on the current page, the report generated may be incorrect in
the LISTING destination. In particular, if the FLOW option is specified
on the DEFINE statement for the GROUP or ORDER variable and a COMPUTE
BEFORE block is defined for the same grouping variable, LINE statements
in the COMPUTE BEFORE block will produce output which would be
appropriate for the next grouping, but not the current. Once the LINE
statement data becomes shifted in this manner, the LINE statements for
all subsequent groups will continue to be shifted by one group.
The result of the LINE statement for the last group of data may either
be missing or it may contain the appropriate information (thus repeating
the text generated in the previous group).
Adjusting the PAGESIZE option so that no grouping has the last row
printed on the next page will return the COMPUTE BEFORE LINE statement
data to the correct sequence.
