Usage Note 47311: How to enable logging when SAS® Enterprise Miner™ is launched from Java Web Start (JWS)
If you launch SAS Enterprise Miner Client from Java Web Start (JWS), then you can enable Java console logging. Follow these steps to enable Java console logging:
- On windows Start ► Settings ► Control panel ► Java
Select Advanced ► Debugging ►. Select "Enable tracing",
"Enable logging". Expand Java console ► Show Console.
- Launch SAS Enterprise Miner and try to re-create the problem that you are trying to log.
Be sure to copy the console output to a file before closing SAS Enterprise Miner. The file contains the java log.
For detailed java tracing, follow these steps:
Under the following folder %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment , where %APPDATA% can be C:\Users\user_name\AppData
Edit the deployment.properties file by adding the following line
deployment.trace.level=all
Recreate the problem with SAS Enterprise Miner and send us the *trace and *log files for the time of problem under %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\log.
