Problem Note 46230: The Tasks menu in SAS® Enterprise Guide® does not show all available tasks
When you use SAS Enterprise Guide, some tasks might be missing from the Tasks menu, as depicted below. This issue occurs because the tasks were not registered correctly when SAS Enterprise Guide was installed.
To correct this problem, reregister the tasks on the system.
- If open, close SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Open a command prompt and navigate to the SAS Enterprise Guide installation directory. The default locations are as follows:
For Windows 32-bit machines:
- C:\Program Files\SAS\EnterpriseGuide\4.3\
- C:\Program Files\SASHome\EnterpriseGuide\5.1
For Windows x64 machines:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\SAS\EnterpriseGuide\4.3\
- C:\Program Files (x86)\SASHome\EnterpriseGuide\5.1
- C:\Program Files\SASHome\EnterpriseGuide\5.1
- Using the /register option, execute the regtasks.exe that is in the SAS Enterprise Guide installation path above. Here is an example of the command.
C:\Program Files\SAS\EnterpriseGuide\4.3\regtasks.exe /register
- After executing the command above, invoke SAS Enterprise Guide. Then, verify that the complete list of tasks, as shown below, is available:
